If you want everything to be according to the rules then:

- has the driver been under your employ for 60 or more days? If so you need to set up an MPF for him and contribute into it. How much you pay into it will depend on how you pay your driver. A set salary each month, hourly basis?

- also depending on his wage, he may need to contribute into this MPF. You're supposed to automatically deduct his contribution and put that into his MPF before you give him the rest. These deduction would be tax deductible for him

- finally according to the Employees' Compensation Ordinance you need to buy insurance to cover him (and actually yourself as well as his employer) the day he starts

What you pay him and any deductions will be what he should declare for his tax purposes.

Without knowing more details that's about as much help as I can give you.

If you want help figuring out what he should declare for his tax, finding an MPF for him, buying employee compensation insurance, or other information just PM me.
