Hi everyone
This may not be the best place to post this kind of question, but I thought no harm - someone may have some insight.
I am a trained and experienced secondary school teacher from Australia. I have now been offered an interview for a primary teacher position- unsure what age group at this stage. I wanted to do a bit of research before my interview to be as prepare as possible.
The school offers PYP training, however I would really like to know more about the PYP before my interview. I have exhausted my googling skills to find a specific curriculum (I understand that it is not as exact as other curriculums) but all I have found is the framework. I have read these and I'm beginning to understand the kind of ideas, concepts and overall goals that are embedded within the curriculum, specifically in relation to the structure of classes/lesson, etc. But I am yet to find ANYTHING regarding actual course content. I am trained in English / Humanities so would really like to look over the mathematics / science / other areas of curriculum.
Obviously the differences in the role of the teacher between primary and secondary are pretty big so I want to be as prepared as possible. If you have any helpful literature / guide / outline / any form of resources for primary teaching or transitioning I would be extremely grateful!
