I'm looking for some recommendations on nice / challenging jogging areas in Hong Kong preferably in Kowloon or New Territories.
I currently live in Hung Hom. I jog along the waterfront into TST. Beautiful view, but you can’t go too far into TST in the evening due to large crowds waiting for the light show. So I end up just going back and forth. Unfortunately I hate treadmills with a passion, which puts me in a bind in a crowded city like Hong Kong.
I know this isn’t any easy question, but please let me know any jogging areas / trails that would match at least some of the following; nice, challenging (hills), longer (maybe 5 - 8 km), clean, not crowded, and where you don’t have to wait at a crosswalk every 2 minutes.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

It has all the popular hiking trails in HK (of different lengths and difficulties), many of them are excellent for jogging.
Happy running!!

Hi rooster, I don't know if you are still around as this is an old thread.
There are two places I've recently discovered which I like:
From Tsuen Wan on Castle Peak road starting from the LCSD sport centre. It's not flat but a nice run with great views of the harbour and bridge. It has the distance you want too.
Also I've been running in Shatin along the canal thingy, flat and linear and you can put in lots of mileage.
Both places have public sport centres nearby so they have lockers and showers.
Let me know of other places too!

move to Pokfulam - it's a runners paradise (by HK standards)
