Living and working in Hong Kong can take such a toll on your health as I found out both in 2010 and again when I returned in 2014.
I struggled to get breath, clear unwanted mucus from my throat, breath deep enough . I lost weight, looked old and felt old. I had never been in that type of environment before and yet I was in the health industry.
My first visit to Hong Kong I was teaching English in a Kindergarten and there were times when i just coughed all day and could hardly speak. having to resort to a microphone.
Second visit a few years later in my own industry as a health professional I still struggled but this time it was harder being on Hong kong Island.
It took me a long time to work through and found the answers through diet and a respiratory device called Turboforte which i bought online www.turboforte.co
Diet and lifestyle play such a huge part in keeping the lungs in good working order and the fact that HK diet as wonderful as the food tastes has msg in nearly all the sauces used in the dishes. The wontons have msg, the pork has preservatives and basically there is an enormous amount of gluten in the foods used.
This causes all of the above problems and has a huge effect on the gut. If you have poor lung capacity you will also have compromised gut.
Add to my thread if you have any questions i can help you with as Hong Kong is a wonderful place to live but Expats in particular suffer from all sorts of issues from Gut, respiratory, skin disorders etc etc
Lets talk about this and let me help you survive Hong Kong and enjoy living there
