Hi there
Sorry for the delay in response, you probably have found the the answer by now. Costs vary depending on the class of room you book. Some doctors charge a fixed fee but everything else in the hospital can vary because of the room you book. My husband has had a number of hospital treatments with different doctors in different hospitals and I still can't figure out how the costs work. All the best for your health.

Can anyone share their experiences with Dr Norman Chan regarding thyroids? Can't put my finger on it but my alarm bells ring when I see him and I can't help but feel he is a bit quick to recommend thyroid removal as a preventative measure when nodules over 1cm are present. Biopsy showed follicular cells but no malignancy. Consulted a doctor in London who agreed this was a bit premature and he suggested doing another biopsy in six months before deciding on such extreme surgery. Also not keen on his bedside manner but don't know if it is just me or there are others that he makes uncomfortable. I know his reputation is impeccible which is why I went to him in the first place, but there is just something....
To the person who said they were quoted 40K for the surgery...Dr Chan's associate quoted me 90K!!
Any thoughts/experiences to share? Thanks.

Just found that both Dr John Boey and Dr Darran Mann were in the inquest of a case which a key hole surgery lead to heavy bleeding and subsequent death of a patient.
