Can anyone give me any pointers as to whether I can get a heaf (sp?) test done here in HK? I never had a BCG when I was a kid and I'll be heading up to the mainland soon and quite fancy getting myself sorted before then. Does anyone know where I can go to get it done, or how much it will cost? Thanks for your help.

You can also try the Hong Kong Travellers' Health
Service launched by the Port Health Office. Sounds odd
and not many (expat) folks know that the HK
government offers this service. Think it started for
travellers coming into HK in the olden days.
Now you can go to one of the Port Health Travel Health
Centre, see a doctor and get vaccinations that cost a lot
less than from private clinics. Not sure though if they
have TB one. Definitely do cholera, hep, polio, flu, jap
encep, tyhoid, rabies, tetanus.
Try calling them on (852) 2961-8840 or (852) 2368-
3361.
