SARS Winter 2004-2005?

You had better believe it! I work in exactly that environment and got sick regularly in the first term. The kids are always sick, but they wear face masks and you can as well. I got a lot of sore throats from working in a high noise level. A lot of the locals use microphones. The kids are generally lovely but you will have 35 per class. What you should be paranoid about is the system not SARS or the kids. Join HKNEST, NESTA or the ETA and talk to other PNETs like me about the life and the school. It's a lottery here and if you get a bad school (ie bad principal and teachers) you will have a hell of a ride. I love it here but if you are at all fragile give it a miss. Seriously. Personally, I would split in the event.
