Hey guys, I moved to Hong kong few weeks ago and I realised how polluted it is sometime.

Is there anywhere we can check the level of pollution everyday? And is it true that somedays you have to stay at home cos the pollution is too high, if yes, how do we know?

I live in Happy Valley which is pretty green but is it ok to sleep windows open with the pollution or better to keep everything closed with air-con?

Thanks guys. :)

When you dust your furniture, does the cloth turn black? If so, you need to buy an air filter... at least for your bedroom. Make sure it is a good air cleaner with the HEPA filter. I live in Stanley where the air is supposed to be cleaner than the city areas; however, my air filter turns completely black within four to six weeks and has to be replaced. Causeway Bay usually has some of the highest pollution rates in Hong Kong. Isn't Happy Valley relatively close to Causeway Bay? I only open my windows in November & December when the pollution seems to be a bit better.
