This can be a symptom of a bacterial infection in your stomach. It's the same kind of bacteria that cause most stomach ulcers, called something like Heliobacter Pylori. If it is this, you can take antibiotics of some kind to get rid of it, but you would need to be tested to see if it is this. (One of my relatives had this).

burping is caused by not enough hydrochloric acid in the stomach to digest food. Stress definitely adds to this.

Try these natural fixers.

1. drink half a glass of water 15 minutes before your meal. Add the juice of 1/2 lemon.

2. 15 minutes after eating add the rest of the lemon and another half glass of water.

3. do not read, watch tv or indulge in stressful conversations while eating.

This will help. Lastly as you have had medication it is time to re-colonise your flora with some acidophillus or probiotic yoghurt.

Hello...my mother had recurrent burping for years...8 years as a matter of fact...she died from stomach cancer...get it checked. She had a doctor that told her it was not serious; when she finally checked a second doctor the cancer had grown too large to save her. Get it checked.
