Hi everyone,
Any ideas on how to prevent air in my baby's bottle. When it comes to feeding there always seems to be a lot of air when feeding her...I want to ensure she does not get too much wind and end up with colic.
Thanks

If you don't want to switch to bottles specifically designed to keep the air out when baby drinks, simply stir the milk instead of shaking it after you've placed the powder in the bottle.

Try Dr. Brown's bottles which feature a patented internal vent that reduces air bubbles.

Hi there
My daughter had Colic and I was informed by numberous medical practitioners and child health nurses that colic is not something that is neccessarily developed from excesive wind intake. It is believed to be an imaturity in the digestive system of babies which can lead to stomach cramps and pain and issues with releasing wind usually after eating. If your child already has colic then trying to eliminate wind will help but will not develop or induce colic.
As mentioned above there are specific bottle with different teet flows which may help your child drink at a nice rate without gulping which can help reduce wind intake. I used AVENT bottles with my daughter.
Hope this helps :)
