Depends on the condition, but usually 5 to 10 days - although a few can be taken for 3 days. In HK doctors give 3 days which can cause resistance, a major problem in HK but which many doctors refuse to acknowledge. Also HK patients tend ot stop taking them when they feel better - again this can cause resistance.
