I have a 60 yrs old relative visiting. She is still recovering from a mild paralytic (not sure of the term)attack. Forgotten her medication back home. She has this problem of involuntary release of urine. Does anyone knows what is the med called. Is it easily available in HK? Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

Suggest you make the long distance phone call to her pharmacist and get the brand and chemical name of the medicine. We once got a friend to air ship medicines to us from USA by carrier -- there was some extra customs work and if I recall the only carrier willing to take it on was UPS, but it can be here in as little as 4 days. More likely, you can get the name translated and obtain it here.

tks meiquoren. Was just taking my chances in finding something here in HK. I guess I will just get someone to send it over.

Hi. Dr David Stirling at 2849 7822 says, "Many drugs available. Oxybutinin could be tried. But you must see a doctor." Give our office a call. We are in Central near Lan Kwai Fong

The medication used is called an ‘alpha blocker’ or ‘detrusor stabiliser’. It is commonly used and should be available from your doctor. If coming to Matilda, best to book with the GP to ensure it is the correct medication.
