Medical Exam for Z Visa?

I am going to Shanghai this fall to teach english and I am trying to get my Visa application together. All I need is my Medical examination but I am having a hard time contacting the Chinese embassy in L.A. Can anyone tell me what I need to have done. Is it just a basic physical or more involved? Thanks.

There is a center in Shanghai that does the physicals. They are very slick, in and out in about 30-40 mins. Usually employers take you there the first day that you are in town.
