My husband needs 'simple'keyhole surgery on his knee - scientifically it's called Arthroscopic Chondroplasty.
The costs he has been quoted seem quite high and I just wondered if anyone can tell me whether this is about right and/or where we could look for a comparative quote. He will be going in as a day case - the cost for the surgeon's fee in a ward is $17580, in a semi private room is $26100 and in a private room is $35250. The anaesthetist’s fee is $5600 (ward), $8700 (semi) and $11750 (private).
