Dr. Tinny Ho at Skin Central is excellent. I think her partner's name is Leo Chow and he is also very good. Central Building, Tel: 2901 1281

Does anyone know if Tinny Ho is good with scalp problems? I have an itchy red part on my scalp and am losing follicles (and therefore hair) but don't have dandruff or eczema or any of the usual suspects. Would really would like to get it sorted once and for all, having already seen various 'top' skin specialists here who were totally clueless but, surprise surprise, remarkably good at making $$$$ from my medical insurance.

Pumpkin> Could you possibly PM the name of the 'real' derm at QHC. I like to keep it for reference, just in case and because good derms who can deal with skin issues - rather than the odd zit or wrinkle - are hard to come by in HK... as I know you know. Thanks.

If you would like to go for an "Alternative" treatment, TCM could be a good choice to cure the skin problem to the root. Both Acupuncture and Herbal can work. Check out Quality Chinese Medical Centre at Central or Causeway Bay. Their number is 28818267. Web site is www.qualitytcm.com

Pumpkin,

Would a referral from a GP be required for a booking with a dermatologist? Or can I just call them directly for an appointment?

Thanks for the info Pumpkin.

I have no cover either so may give the dermatologist a call directly.
