Chinese dental system is fine but I wouldn´t go to a local clinic. The bigger hospitals are safer but also plenty of patients. No real privacy. I would recommend a german dr. speaking french. Can be connected under 010-82562566 at his clinic.

i think that it's a case of 'you get what you pay for' when it comes to dental care. my advice to you is that if you need serious treatmet- and by that i mean anything involving root work then you pay the money and get it done in a decent clinic.

i'm saying this because i have had no end of trouble with problematic teeth- i had to have corrective treatment to repair the dodgy work that one place did on me!

I wouldn't go to mainland china because there is no channel for you to file a complaint. Even if you do they will igore you anyway. In Hong Hong there are regulatory departments in the government for patients to file complaints if there is a malpractice.

Make sure you get a scond opinion if you need complicated treatment.

If you have to fly somewhere to get your dentistry done, you might as well get it done at your home country. Just do the emergency work in China.

Dear Georgeisi:

I saw you are recommending that particular office in Bejing highly. Do you mind giving me their webpage, I want to check out the credentials of the dentist there? Where are they trained and do they have any specialist training? what makes them better qualified than other clinics?

Dear georgeisi:

Thanks for the info. I looked up the website but it did not list the training background of the dentists there. How do I find out where they are trained? Thanks.
