Crestor is a new kid (statin) on the block. Lipitor is the first generation of statin family.
Crestor seems to be far more effective according to my family doctor, and of coz, more costly.

Any type of medicine are prone to some side effect, be it mild or extreme. On top of that, issues of allergy needs to be considered. Many advise not to self-prescribe, best is to see yr doctor and get proper consultation. my 2 cents :)
