Bumrungrad can be great value for money, though due diligence is in order. As the hospital suggests in its own post, you can do all the bookings online and it undeniably is a glitzy place, exceptionally busy. Some little things bear watching, though, as with certain lab scores whose scales do not equate to other countries' scales, so it is (can be) hard to compare scores. And while it's sometimes true that you get what you pay for, it can be hard to feel we aren't somehow getting cheated by the very high costs in HK. Also factor in the cost of the trip. I've used Bum several times and probably still will--but always with caution.

I am astonished why you would consider travelling so far and at additional expense to get a check up. Hong Kong's standing in the medical community will be higher than that of Thailand (i.e. for example we are second to none in liver transplantation).
My suggestion is to get a check up locally with an experienced GP which will cost less than any package abroad for diagnosis. If all is fine, then all is resolved. If not, at least you have ample choice in treatment.
