abortions

i have a friend who is 4 weeks pregant and needs to terminate the pregnancy. any advice on where to go? has anyone experienced an abortion at a public hospital? do you know the procedure???? any advice would help. thanks

My understanding of the public health system in HK is that they only perform procedures/operations which are "necessary". A friend who used to be a doctor at a public hospital said that if you wanted an abortion performed at a public hospital, it all depends on how you presented the case to them. If you said "I want an abortion because I didn't expect to get pregnant" they probably wouldn't do it but if you said "I can't have this baby and it's caused a lot of stress and I'm now suicidal" they would look at it differently.
