My husband has been complaining of a hot sensation in both ears and at the back of his next. No particular trigger. A few months ago, the trigger was overindulging in food (a large meal - not necessarily alcohol involvement). He is 42, fit but basically under par health - colds frequently he just cant seem to shake. Any ideas?

I don't know what problem your husband is having but I suggest you give homeopathy (one of the many disciplines of natural medicine) a try.
The reason why I highly recommend homeopathy in almost all physical & mental health issues is that it does not treat based on orthodox medical diagnosis. Peculiar symptoms are only served as a clue to understanding the whole person.
It was a couple of weeks ago that I had a very sore big toe with no apparent reason. I even trimmed my toe nail to check if there was an infection or something going on concealed by the nail. But nothing was found but the pain persisted for over 2 weeks. I then went to Arden Wong, my homeopath, for help. He gave me a dose of homeopathic remedy on the spot, the pain was gone in a matter of seconds. And didn't come back.

No...I often get mysterious nerve pains and twitches since childhood.
I was in and out of the hospital in the middle of the night all the time. My mom was worried sick when I was little because orthodox medical doctors didn't have a clue what was wrong with me after numerous pathologies and x-rays done. But then when I have become more educated on wholistic health, I have come to understand that these so called nerve pains are often caused and triggered by stress.

I think Ed did mention more than once in other threads that it's okay to recommend service providers...or oops, am I remembering incorrectly? I just think it's okay to share my own personal experience and I'd like to declare that I don't get any kickbacks from making any recommendations.

Generally unless you are an advertiser we do not allow people to toot their own horn to the detriment of our paid advertisers who participate or whom we recommend. If its a one off here and there or we invite you then it usually stays on the site - but if someone tries to blast away and pepper the threads with their company recommendations that will not stay one.
And if we invite you then you must indicate you rep the company - otherwise its misleading...
Hope that clarifies things
