Hi Moonrock. I have regular massage treatements through a registed therapist. I also have to do a lot of stretching excercises daily and take medication prescribed by a pain specialist. I also have trigger point injections into the affected areas twice a year, done under heavy sedation. This may not be the way forward for everyone as the symptons are perosn specific. I can let you have details of a pain specialist if you need it.

To add to Seal's remarks, don't go to anyone who isn't trained in trigger point and / or release, cause messing with those muscles w/o doing it right (proper training, clear understanding) can cause more harm than good. Molly in China (currently away vacation) can also tell you name of good person in HK. The prescrip for me, with only mild tendencies, is 20 - 30 min aerobic exercise every day along with stretching and weightlifting which serves to strengthen and increase circulation. Observe moderation: don't overdo on any given day (which will make symptoms worse) and don't skip days.

Hello Moonrock,

Neuro-muscular Mechanical Stimulation (also known as Hyper-Gravity Stimulation Training) and Radial Shock Wave Therapy should help to relieve fibromyalgia. You may consult the physiotherapist at Vibration Therapy Institute, tel. 2167 7366.

I am a girl who was diagnosed with fibro last year. I had tried different methods for it but none of them succeeded. Just want to know is the trigger point injections work, since pain doctors in hospital in Hong Kong are not willing to do so for me.

Thanks
