Embarrassing - but that is the only way to describe what I am feeling... A 'weight', uncomfortable feeling from my rectum to pelvic floor area. I am 38 and have delivered one child naturally with uncomplicated episiotomy. Uncomfortable, not painful, but feels odd. Any ideas what it could be please?

You don't want to hear this, but you need to go get checked out! If by some chance there is a problem it's far better to catch it early.

Yes, you're right on both accounts! Thanks Mei.

Try doing kegel's exercises...they're good for you and your pelvic floor.

Hey Ruth, thanks for your reply. Funny you should refer to my pelvic floor!! I did some internet research for self diagnosis (yes, the drs love those types of patients, dont they!) and it sounds as tho I have the beginning of a prolapsed uterus or bladder. Kegels were suggested and have already made an improvement! Off to the dr for a check up on thurs with the full gyno thing in a fortnight so no, didnt rely on my self diagnosis! Thanks for taking the time to reply!

Ok...if anyone is interested....one wall of the vagina somewhat "collapsed" and uterus "slightly prolapsed" but nothing that some physio won't fix. Message here ---- DO YOUR PELVIC FLOORS WHEN PREGNANT!!! I was lazy and paying for it now!

It's nice to have someone reporting back. Lots of times we don't know what came of a dr's visit.
Good luck with the exercizes.
