GI Diet - gaining weight!!

I have recently started a GI diet and have stuck to the plan 100%. I was so pleased with myself for the efforts and felt that I was sure to have lost weight. When I weighed myself after the first week, I had put on a pound. I was devastated as I had been perfect on the plan. So I re read the book/ plan and continued for the second week. Now 2/3 of the way through the second week I have put on another 1.5 pounds. I know this is really only 2.5 pounds but I can't get my head around what is going on!! Especially as in the book, it says that for the first few weeks youo should loose more weight. Does anyone have any suggestions before I loose faith altogether?

diets are also very personal. some diets work for a group of people, but won't work for another. for me, i have always had an issue with sugar (my body produces more than what is necessary), so South beach diet was the only diet that worked.

I can't stand the concept of depending on supplements to shed pounds!! Sounds like you should probably check with a nutritionist for a definitive guideline as to what foods you should / shouldn't be eating before you begin venturing off on diet tea land(what works for one person doesn’t mean it could work for you – and “natural” isn’t necessarily good either (animal fat and caffeine are natural and they’re really good for you right??) and if that's too clinical, the best way is to go to EAT RIGHT here you can get a personalized food plan and get them to send you their yummy guilt free means with all your personal considerations calculated. It doesn’t get much easier than that!! EAT RIGHT happens to be owned and operated by an ex-GROUP FITNESS & PERSONAL TRAINER who's dedicated his life to helping people loose weight healthfully through low G.I. eating and active living. & If not sound like you still haven’t exhausted the possibility of working out at a gym and there's plenty of options out there to suit different budgets (mind you, you do get what you pay for) Have you tried exercising lately? Now that’s natural and 100% good for you (if done properly!!) If you’re looking for a trainer I have plenty of contacts as I am one myself but my schedule’s packed so I can help you source a club, trainer, hook you up with the restaurant but STAY OFF THOSE “MIRICLE WEIGHT LOSS METHODS” – they are temporary and can be very dangerous not to mention costly!!
