Hello,
I know some names have been given in the past posts but since they are a bit old, just wondering if anyone advise on a neuro-paediatrician or a children- psychiatrist specialized in the AD/HD disorder or anyone else able to help on this matter?
Has anyone seen someone at Matilda on this purpose on not?
I think I would like to have my child diagnosed but am not sure where to go!
Thank you!

I am looking for the same information. My child is over 6. The matilda centre caters only for children under 6. My child has been assessed by a clinical psychologist recently. The diagnosis was rather confusing and I am not satisfied with it at all. I am looking for a second opinion and I need a recommendation.

Hello isonoawabi,
Well if you wish, I was given a name but haven't checked out myself yet.
meanwhile there is an association F.O.C.U.S which sounds very helpful on these matters and which has its monthly meeting next week. you may start from there..

good luck!

My son was diagnosised with ADHD when he was 9 years old. This was done by Lynette Levy at Psychology Resources. I found her very good and the assessment was both psychological and educational. It was done over a couple of days for about 6 hours in total.
After the assessment and conclusion Lynette gave me the number of a pediatrician - Dr Eunice Wong who specializes in ADHD and can prescribe medications. I still see her now and my sone if almost 13. He takes medication and the improvement in his behaviour and school work has been fantastic.
Her are there addresses (it is a long process but well worth it) let me know if you need and other information.

Contact Rachel at http://www.smiletherapy.net/. She is the most fantastic person to see for ad/hd. I think she might be on leave for another weeks so don't dispair if you can't get on to her straight away but the wait is worth it and she WILL HELP you! All the best.
