My husband wants to quit smoking and would like to try out acupuncture. Does anyone have experience with that and can recommend a doctor?

I can't help with the acupuncture but I read "Allan Carrs Easy Way to Quit Smoking". I thought the book was crap when someone recommended it, but I read and OH MY GOD I couldn't believe it. Within a month of reading I quit.
Admittedly I had a bad run of migraines, but after 20 years of those I just figured it was another rough patch. Anyway, I woke up one morning and I just didn't have one. It was weird, I thought about it in the morning, but there was no emotion attached with it. It was like someone had flicked a switch or rewired my brain if that makes any sense.
The book is like reverse psychology and honestly I do not go in for all that stuff, but bugger me if my husband didn't read it later (and he was a heavy, full on smoker) and he also quit. Also on his side was the fact that he had an operation on his mouth and couldn't smoke. But after reading the book before going into hospital, he just didn't feel like one afterwards.
That was over 2 years ago and we have not touched a cigarette since. I had an odd feeling here and there rarely, but have not ever once been tempted. Anything is worth a shot.

I don't know about acupuncture, but hypnotherapy did marvels for me!
I had a session with Julian at Balance Health (tel: 2530-3315).

Can i jump in here and ask about Julian at Balance Health. wattsup, is he very expensive? I had hypnotherapy back in Australia from insomnia and migraines and I was hoping to have a "top up" session.
I loved hypnotherapy and it has worked wonders for me.

You better call the clinic to find out. If I remember correctly, it was $1600 for the session. Not cheap but worth it!
