Hello everybody! well be moving to hongkong at the end of this month. My baby is born very premature and stayed in the neonatal intensive care unit for half a year. I gave birth to her in tokyo and they have outstanding care as my baby was discharged without any disabilities after so many life threathening situations.
Anyway, she is still yet to get her vaccines. And because of her age, the dates when the vaccines are due needs to be adjusted. I need a very good doctor. I hope someone can recommend an excellent doctor.
Also i want to know, if there is a hospital with a neonatal intensive care unit in hongkong, public or private doesnt really matter as long as they are the best.
we are planning to get a house in the area of the hospital. i have been reading around and i want to get a place in discovery bay but i dont know how convenient it is as cars are restricted and how to get in and out during the night, in emergencies or during a storm.
My husband will be working in Central.

hi mothercricket
my children were also micropreemies, born here at the queen mary hospital.
i'd be happy to share my experiences with you and suggestions. send me a pm. let me know how prematuraely your little girl was born.
as katty suggested, barbara lam, the former head of the queen mary hospital's NICU, is now in private practise. she is an excellent physician and is particularly skilled in preemie needs and concerns. her office is in central.
i understand about vaccinations and adjusted age vs real age. it can be so challenging.
welcome to hong kong, i think you will be well pleased wtih the medical services here. congratulations on your fighting preemie.
