You can find the side effects of lipitor by searching in google. Patients with diabetes, kidney disease or women in pregnancy or breast-feeding should consult their doctors before taking that.
High blood cholesterol is not really a disease but a medical condition. For your information, acupuncture or Chinese medicine can lower the level of cholesterol, LDL-C, and raise HDL-C. The lab blood tests of patients will be compared before and after treatment; so the clinical efficacy is crystal clear.
I am in the acupuncture profession and listed here.
kidney disease; or
a muscle disorder.

I have been taking Lipitor now for about 12 years with no side effects and it reduced and stabelised my cholesterol levels. However a couple of years ago I started taking Liprinol (a green lipped mussel extract) for my osteoarthritis and after about 8 months on this my cholesterol levels improved considerably more and my GP said that she had noticed this positive side effect in other patients taking Liprinol.

Good for you, lime.
If I send my kid to have tutorial class and he or she still needs to go there, after 10 +years, I will be really upset, if not pissed off. Don't get me wrong that I am against modern medicine, I am amazed at the sophisicated advancement of technology such as 3D MRI machine and other amazing diagnoistic equipments such as a bullet-sized camera bullet that can go through our body and collects all the valuable data of the internal organs. I also understand that some medications are really good at controlling high blood pressure, as long as one takes it on daily basis. It is proved safe and precribed by our trusted medical professionals.
However, there are some minority who may want to 'fix' their problem and don't want to be on medications on a permanent basis. I don't want to span here but think that someone might be interested or deserve to know there are alternative solution for their lifelong problems.
I just want to share a case here. A late 40s male, inherited high cholestrol type, tall, slim athetic (3 vigorous ballgame per week) took two 2 months of Chinese herbal granule and his TG and TC dropped from 3 to 2.6 (normal ref range 0.3-2.1)and from 6.7 to 5.8 (<5.2 is normal range) respectively(patient supply the lab result). If he keeps on doing that, he should be drug-free or on a loose schedule after a year time.
