Hello there

Can anywone help me? My son is 17 and has flat feet (size 12 foot). He is an avid rugby player and recently twisted his ankle during a game. He is having a terrible time getting his foot to settle so he can get back into the game.

Does anyone know where I can go to have an arch supporting insole made for him?

try Dr. Kong or try buying him burkenstock sandals, it does help co'z it actually molds the feet depending on the type of feet. It was proven for me as I have the same flat footed.

Hi It sounds like your son may need some foot orthoses , or at least a check . Try Podiatry At Sportsperformance 25216380 . an assessment can be made and if required insoles( orthoses) can be made for him to help improve his foot function

Sounds as if your son has more than a simple sprain if he's been playing for so long. Not heard of a any insole treating ankle sprain. Should get him to see Orthopedics surgeon.

hi there - the fact that he has flat feet makes it longer for the sprain to heal , so by supporting the arch it takes the pressure off the sprain (or so says the physiotherapist) - so of course your are correct : the shoes don't "heal" the sprain

thanks for your comments
