Migraine headaches are definitely very complicated. Correct me if i'm wrong, but there is no cure for it except the use of analgesics and pain killers right?

Nice site!! I alway feel cold even the temp is above 20C. Those tips are quite helpful.

Migraines are complex and everyone is different. There are lots of different migraine medications that do much more than manage pain and can reduce or eliminate the occurrence of migraines. I have found that changing my diet and sleeping pattern has helped me manage my migraines. But what works for some, isn't what'll work for everyone. Good luck figuring out how to help your husband Lily.

Referring to the website Lily mentioned, I also find out some information about the female health , like introduction of Breast Cancer, Bulimia. That is quite useful to me wor! What do you think about it, Lily?

I've been reading about it also Carol. I have to admit that I do know a friend who suffers from bulimia, and I know quite a lot about the topic because one of my relatives has had it for years. Doctors say it could last for a lifetime if she doesnt get the right treatment. So far, she often goes to see a phsychiatrist but hasn't improved much. I really think, as the HSBC website says, that it is due to the feeling of undermined power, as in all along her life she percieves herself as being powerless. everything was dictated by her parents, her friends. so this is one way for her to finally "let it all out", so to speak

really??? all along i thought it was an eating disorder and the perception of being 'fat'. i mean, just a question...if it was the feeling of perceieved powerlessness, how come out of all bulimics, only about 10% of sufferers are male?

i'm not sure about that, really. it may be due to genetics. but i've looked around and I can't the reason. The HSBC Healthnet site says that "the prevalence of eating disorders is affected by the culture of the society" - maybe women think differently from men, that's all

mmm i'm still puzzled by it thou. anyhow, the scary thing is that it is not an eating disorder but a psychological illness, which means it is very hard to treat. I can't find any information on treatment and cures except mental therapy.

yes, i totally agree. it's definitely one of the hardest disorders to treat, and so at the moment there is no 100% effective treatment for it, except psychological therapy. let's hope they come out with some effective treatment for it soon. i have heard that there are some chinese herbal ingredients which could alleviate some of the symptoms. Not too sure about it though.
