A question - bruised finger

ORIGINAL POST

A friend showed me the knuckle on her right middle finger which had turned bruised suddenly during lunch today. I asked her to bend it and she said it hurt a bit. I was with her then so I was sure that she didn't bump into anything. I called her up this evening and she said it had now turned reddish and the pain is still there when bending but she didn't seem to worry. Have anyone experience this before? Is it advisable for her to see a doctor? Could it be something to do with the veins or with the bone? Any advices for home remedy?

Thanks.

Ice. Ice. Ice. If it gets worse, see a doc.

Thanks for the information drm888. What a co-incidence, my friend's finger was bruised the first day, turned red and very red the following 2 days and became pale yesterday and today returns back to normal without doing anything.

She still doesn't understand what triggered it and how she got healed. Anyway, we were happy for her.

Hi iwiltry,

Thanks for your advice but my friend is a very stubborn person - she hates going to see a doctor and this time she was right as she's all well now. Thanks anyway.

Sometimes, our body can heal by itself the natural way as I've written something on your thread just now. Hope you'll try it. All the best to you!
