I am quite worried about this... I am praying this is NOT "the flu" we have always been worried about and talked about.
Any one have any idea WHY it's particularly deadly in Mexico, while people in USA are recovering faster?
I am worried it's the HEAT and weather that is contributing to it? Hong Kong is going to get warmer too... if this virus doesn't die in higher temperatures, we are going to be in trouble.
I recall last time SARS went away because summer came... and luckily it didn't return that winter.
Let's hope this flu will fizzle away.
I have young children to worry about.....

Don't worry about it. If not this time, then the next outbreak or the next will be a major pandemic. A pandemic has been expected for a long time now. What should occupy your mind is not panic, but he question of how bet to DEAL with the pandemic, if and when it comes

The reason for the big concern is that this virus is confirmed to be passing from human to human (as opposed to only being communicated from animals to human).
Keep in mind that during every flu season thousands of people die from the ordinary flu and there's not a peep about it... so lets not panic.

do we really need to panic about swine flu as we are geographically far from mexico? And will culling all the sick pigs stop the spread of flu?

I totally agree with Ed -- it is just one kind of ordinary flu. No need to worry about it.
