cleft pallet alcoholic father

My friend who is an alcoholic street sleeper has just become father to a baby boy. The little chap has a very serious cleft pallet! The mother is Filipna and the father is PR of Hong Kong. The BB is not a resident and cannot get the op done in HK! The father is so bladdered every day he is incapable of helping the child.


Can anyone help??

We have a charity called Matidla Children's Foundation at the hospital where we do life changing surgery for children in need with no other means of assistance.


If you could let us have more details an put in a formal application to the charity we will be happy to asses to see if your friends baby meets the criteria. We have done several of these procedures under the charity before though usually orpans from china.


We have a case in for hip and knee surgery this week and another coming soon. Generally with these more complicated procedures there is only facilities for one at a time though obviously if urgent we would try our best.

The charity did accept to help the baby boy above however he found help else where so a happy ending and we wish him all the best.
