Hi,
Just arrived in HK with family and need to start setting everything up.
I would be grateful for advice regarding doctors. Do we need to register with a specific doctor? If so can anyone recommend one on the island, preferably south/west?
Also need dentist for family who is good with orthodontics (braces for kids).
thanks

Hi there! I go to Holistic Central headed by Dr Susan Jamieson, they have other doctors there too if Dr Jamieson is away and if you feel like you're in need of other alternative therapies like acupunture or deep tissue massage they have it too. This place is a one stop shop check out they're other therapists on www.holistic-central.com. Just call their office when you need to see a doctor and register, they are in Central 25238044. In that Building you'll find a dentist as well.

If you live on the south side of the island, there are two medical and also two dental offices in the Repulse Bay Hotel (Health Wing). Go there and check them out.

FYI , we use Dr Louisa Wong at Pacific Dental Care , Central for braces for both the children. We were introduced to her by other moms in the sch who use her. Shes very child friendly, which help when it comes to dentist and children, also she has young children herself which helps. We see her at her TST branch now as its closer for us than her Central branch . Once the children have braces there are lots of appt, for us anyway as my children teeth needed so much work before she could even start to put braces on, her Central Number is 25211663, cannot remember the TST number,Im sure the other branch will know.We did get quotes from other orthodontist and her rates were comaparable, NB braces can be expensive!

Thankyou for your replies.
I shall try Dr Louisa Wong. Always good to have a recommendation.
Micks, I was afraid the cost might be a bit high. We have medical insurance which will cover some of the cost, luckily, but it has to be done!
