Would like to get a health check before pregnancy- can anyone recommend an excellent GP?

Preferably near central.

You should try our GP Dr Lily Wong at OTandP in Central (www.otandp.com). She arrived from London only about one year ago and we have been seeing her from the beginning in another practice. She is very approachable and really takes time to explain things unlike some other doctors we tried in HK. We were discussing the difference in children vaccination regimes between the UK and HK and so I am now considering if my girls should be having the chicken pox jabs. Not sure if any one has any thoughts on this?

The fabulous Dr Yap on Caine Road in the row of shops beneath the Wellcome. Everyone goes there while the other surgeries on Caine tout for business. A lot of docs here are no good. They have no vocation and are pushed into the profession by their parents. I've had two docs simply ask "how long do you want a sick note for?" and look astonished when I said I needed an actual exam. Not Dr Yap, he's the business and deeply beloved. Also very busy, but he always makes time.
