Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good optician in Central or Causeway Bay for eye test/glasses for myself and my son?
Thanks.

Nice bloke with good english, charges $450 for a really thorough examination. I went to him because my (expensive) new specs from Lens Crafters didn't seem to be helping so I thought I'd get a second opinion from a recommended source, although I didn't tell him I had recently had an eye test and bought glasses. After a thorough test he told me I didn't even need specs. Afterwards, I asked what he would have charged me for the frames & exact prescription I had already bought and his price was cheaper. So although his examination may cost more than the chain stores, it's far more comprehensive and you get your money back anyway on the specs - that's if you need them.

She's really thorough with her examinations. I've had glasses/contacts for thirty years now and no one is as detailed as her and I've seen Dr's in the UK, Canada and the US!
A consultation is $500.

Hi Angeluv, I need glasses for the first time and have no experience at all with this. I had an examination done in a shop and they confirmed I need glasses for reading but with a 'cilindric' correction. Anyhow, is it advisable to see a optometrist as well before ordering special glasses?
Thanks!
