This forum helped me 4 yrs ago when i was diagnosed. In this town there is still NO support network for women dealing with this huge fear/ experience/ reality/options if they are not cantonese speakers.

So, there are a few of us out there who lived thru it here... what can we/shld we do to help others?

Hi there, Have you tried the English version of CanSurvive? I went there for a year or two after having cancer in the early 2000s. It's more of a chatting group, but they were helpful in dealing with the problems I faced. They advertise frequently in the English press.

It is very helpful if cancer patients can have some local medicinal dishes. They are foods as if were medicine and vv. Wish more non-locals can benefit from the Chinese culture.

Yes, there are support groups in HK. You can call Wendy at 23282202 or Cancer Link at 3667300. You can get in touch with them whenever you feel like it as it's always good to talk to someone. Take care!
