Pancreatitis

Can anyone share their experience and suggest someone for a second opinion?


My mother went to hospital for an endoscopy to see her bile duct. Basically, the public hospital put a camera into her stomach and to her bile duct to see if there's any blockage there etc.


Following the procedure, my mother developed pancreatitis. The hospital says less than 1% of patients will develop this problem from the endoscopy.


Now, the next 4 days will show whether my mother's case will become life-threatening, or she could simply (hopefully) recover.


She's in Ruttonjee Hospital. Before the endoscopy, she was perfectly fine.


I would like a second opinion but don't know who to approach or how to go about it?


Also - anyone know anyone in the same situation and how did they recover, etc?
