Our helper has been for an annual check-up and has been recommended to get an ultrasound for her breast. The check-up was done with our private doctor as it is the same one my husband and I do and is very good. However the ultrasound will be $1,500.
Does anyone know where she can get a breast check and ultrasound done in the public system? and the approx. cost?

I had to have an ultrasound on my breast and I got a referral to Queen Mary and the waiting time was over 3 years.....at the time I doubled checked this date as I thought I was seeing things, but no it was real....I wouldn't bother with the waiting times through the public system, I went privately.

Many thanks to turtle1 for your suggestion - it was a good one. I got her an appointment at the family planning clinic in Wan Chai the following day and she is going for an ultrasound this Friday. Funny enough, the ultrasound will be at the same place that she was referred to by our private practice but for half the price ($650).
