In Hong Kong, one of the top would be:
Dr. Chu Pak Lau
http://www.uscom.com.au/company/chu-pak-lau.html
....
if you have an irregular heart beat....you should find someone who specializes in that area....you would definitely want to seek the opinion of an EP
An electrophysiology (EP) cardiologist, usually referred to as an electrophysiologist, specializes in diagnosing and treating abnormal heart rhythms.
good luck.

Thanks a lot, F100.
Will definitely try to see him. The problem with my problem is that is kind of borderline and needs open-minded intelligent management, not an avalanche of drugs to bring the numbers in line, instead of dealing with the underlying problem.

You are welcome.
from what i've heard, some of the drugs are not that effective and they also have some side effects that can get worse.
i've head that dr. lau is very knowledgeable in hk.
do some research and try to get as much information as possible.
the doctors in the public hospitals are very good.
just get a good diagnosis from someone like dr. lau.
the good thing is that if you do need an ablation, the doctors in the public hospitals have probably done a lot of them.
seek someone who has done lots of them, ask the specifically how many operations on patients with the same procedure how they done.
my cousin had his operation done by dr. lau and is now back running marathons again.
what i have heard from doctors is that if you have an AF (atrial fibrilation) the sooner you treat it the better. the longer you leave it, the more difficult and complicated it gets to treat.
once again, best of luck.

oops...accidently hit the send button before i had a chance to read what i wrote.
seek a specialist who has performed the operation that you are about to get many times before....remember that it's not only the doctor that you are relying on but also his team as well.
some of the doctors in the private hospitals are famous but they do not perform as many operations as the doctors that are in the public hospital.
you definitely want someone who currently does a lot of the operations - so many that he/she could do it blindfolded.
