I'm going to start eating more healthily. Lots of green vegetables, carrots, apples etc and wondered if I should buy a blender or juicer? I'm going to make vegetable smoothies full of healthy ingredients.
Any advice much appreciated.
Hey Devon,
im not a health guru, but im guessing the blender is a better call. reason is, you will get the whole fruit or vegetable. nothing is wasted and youre getting all the vitamins and nutrients
i agree with what Ed has posted. you do get a lot of sugar from fruits and especially juices. i would use a lot more vegetables
check out the website livestrong dot com for suggested drinks.
cheers
Go get yourself a Philips Juicer, they run in at about HK1000 bucks bet they are worth every penny. Next, get yourself a copy of "The Juice Master" by Jason Vale. Fantastic book, loads of smoothy recipies. His Turbo Charged Smoothy is great and packs a punch. I lost over 40lbs over the course of 8 months and when i returned to the docs for a check-up blood test he was amazed at the results.
No need for either. Eat your fruit and veg whole (and lightly steamed or baked, rather than boiled in the case of veggies), rather than blend or juice them. Much healthier, because you get all the nutrients the way nature made it.
Good for you for wanting to get healthier.

Thanks guys. I'm wanting to juice a lot of vegetables rather than fruits because of the sugar content in fruit. I also want to make my system more alkaline and less acidic so need more veges in my diet. Apparently juicing lots of veges helps so I'm keen to try.

Hey Devon. Use beets! Beets can clean your body and make your body system more alkaline. I use organic beets powder and I just add 3 teaspoon to the juice or vegetables in the blender. So convenient and super nutritious since it's organic! I bought it in a health center. Let me know if you wanna try it and I will message you where to get it.
