I am a long term HK resident, and have been visiting the Canossa Hospital since I was 6 years old. Recently, after not having been to the hospital for a few years, I needed to make a visit, and found out that the hospital had destroyed my entire (30+ years) medical history, as I had not been for a certain period of time.
Are they actually allowed to do this, without even trying to conatct me? Is there some sort of regulation that such details needs to be kept for x amount of time? Just a little concerned as i now have ZERO medical history.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
dbg

@ hellokittyhk
Thanks for the response and the information. It seems that the hospitla might well have been wrong to destroy my medical records, but it seems there is precious little I can do about it now.
Thanks,
dbg
