Hey Guys,
I came to China about 4 months ago and had live vaccine so I was told that I couldn't get the Hep A vaccine, so I wanted to know where I could go in Shanghai to find a reputable and preferably western doctor who can give me the Hep A vaccine, I am planning on staying in China for a few years, so I don't know when I will have a chance to go back to my home country and get the vaccine there. Any help would be lovely.

Are younsure that you reciveda live vaccine, I see from your Email add that you are American which makes it even more strange. Where did you recieve the vaccine.
All the Hepatitis vaccines that we at Beijing and Shanghai United Family Hospitals carry are killed or attenuated viruses as are all the vaccines made by the major suppliers.
Do you have an International Immunization record, if so what does it say? We use the vaccine made by the Glaxo company. Where you told that you would need a 2nd shot 6 months after the first, that would be more indication that it was an attenuated virus vaccine.
