For 3 months I have a cronic shoulder pain. Am unable to move arm directly above neck, or sideways. Any extension movements, circular, or behind my back also creates severe pain. Have tried heat compact, physiotherapy for 1 month but still the pain is here. Doctor mentions tendernitis or some pinched nerve due to excessive arm tension with computer.
Anyone with similar problem and recommendation of alternative treatment appreciated.

First of all, you should probably either see an orthopedic or a neuro-surgeon if it is really bad. Probably would require CT Scan or MRI to find the problem. Having said that, there are also a lot of good physiotherapist here in HKG. You might want to give one of them a try before taking the plunge with the big doctor bills.
I have bad neck and shoulder pain and I go to see a pysio-therapist in Central who is excellent. I assume that I can mention the name on this blog without problem. The therapist is Ms. Margaret Tang. You get a full 1.5 hour treatment which consists of deep tissue massage, manual adjustments and acupuncture. Cost is really reasonable when you consider how much time they actually spend with you. Move ability to move and the pain level was substantially reduced by her work. She really digs in and it can be painful during the treatment sometimes, but the results are really good. If you want more info, you can IM me. Cheers and good luck with the pain!
