We will be spending a few months in Hong Kong in the new year. My son was born with a very rare genetic skin condition and needs fairly constant treatment. The condition is very rare in Hong Kong (aparently only 3 cases in history) so we need a derm. that is most likely out of a major hospital. Anyone know of someone? We were in Hong Kong recently and needed to see someone. We went to a very well known dermatology practice and they had no idea..nothing against this practice I know it's super rare. Thanks :)

I know it's not what you've asked and Dr.Lai is not in a hospital (own practice) but he is great, efficient and really helps. We got our referral from the University of Hong Kong medical center. He is in Melbourne Plaza in Central. Tel: 2868.0268. He is always fully booked though which is another indicator that he is good :-) You might want to chat with him over the phone to see if he can treat your condition.

Thank you so much Nuri! I will give him a call. I actually called Matilda today
and they gave me a the name of Dr. John Yu?. I was able to speak with him and he was just lovely. He knew of my son's condition and has actually treated it before so YAY I'm very excited :D I also put a call into Queen Mary outpatient clinics but wasn't able to get through but that's fine .
