Stomach/heart problem.

Could anyone recommend somebody that specialises in stomach problems. I have been seeing a gastroenterologist who is treating me for gerd. I also experience heart palpitations when I feel stomach pain. I have read that this could be a caused by low stomach acid.

Any advice much appreciated.

Any chance you are suffering from stress? I recently started getting gerd trouble and family doctor told me stress is usually main culprit. Since been for endoscopy examination and everything fine, and heartburn symptoms have lessened since I have been trying to adjust lifestyle! Also think it is possible that the apple cider vinegar (one spoonful in glass of water) is helping too. Off the tablets for two weeks now.


I also read that gerd is due to low stomach acid (opposite of common sense thinking of too much) and these natural aids work for some folk. If I have any discomfort staying up late a half cup of milk fixes it.


Hope that helps. Don't know any specialist other than the fellow I saw (Dr Lai) at Quality Healthcare in Princes Building.

yes I have definitely been under stress, but I agree with you about low stomach acid.

I have symptoms that agree with this although my gastro doct gave me a pills for acid.
