If so, I understand the next step is usually Colposcopy but what process / treatment / answers did you get after you have been tested? I just want to know if anyone who has had it, had it develop into cervical cancer or have been told it goes away by itself but have gone through regular PAP smear tests ever since then.
My question is only in relation to the high risk type of HPV.
Thanks!

Hi,
With high risk HPV, western doctors know very little and a lot of the advice they will give you will conflict. I was diagnosed with high risk HPV 15 years ago. Mine was kit caught Kate so I needed a loop-cone biopsy.
The most important thing I could recommend is dr Wong at HKU Chinese medicine centre in Admiralty Centre. You might notice fatigue, tiredness etc. Western doc's say being tired caused the virus to resurface, which I agree with however your body continually fighting the virus will also cause your body to be exhausted. So getting enough sleep, avoiding alcohol and coffee, eat clean and possible take L-Lysene to boost the immune function. All of these things can help your body to fight it. Treat candida of you get it. Don't leave this issue to fester, and you'll be fine.

Hi.
I saw your post and i decided to share you my story...
My diagnosis
I am 29 years old and I signed up for this site after I discovered I had high-risk and low-risk HPV types. At first it was just an abnormal pap, then the colposcopy biopsy revealed I had a lesion, which indicated high-risk HPV. I was told to come back in aprox 2 months for a follow-up pap.
After about 3 months I started noticing little red bumps down there. I went back to the doctor and realized I had genital warts (a low-risk HPV type). One day the warts started multiplying like crazy and on the following doctor appointment, I was told that the doctor would need to see me to start treatment with Cervugid Ovules and Isoprinosine tablets.
When the warts didn't come back!!
It has been 9 months since treatment with Cervugid + Isoprinosine and I haven't had one wart return!! I am taking multivitamins. I have also been going to the gym and eating lots of fruits and veggies. I am super healthy and I haven't had one wart since my treatment.
The doctors I've seen
I've seen 5 different doctors about my HPV. Some have told me that I'm stuck with it for life, but I have also been told by the last doctor that HPV usually clears from your body with these medicines Cervugid and Isoprinosine. I have stuck with my current doctor who has been an OBGYN for 30 years.
It truly helps to have a positive, open doctor in such a difficult time. My suggestion is to find a doctor that provides you with hopeful information like that.
A positive note
I wish you all luck. Don't sit around bummed about HPV. Take control of your life and LIVE while you're still young and able! Since my diagnosis, I have still dated, and I now have boyfriend. He knows about my HPV ordeal, but doesn't mind at all. Especially because 70% of sexually-active people get it. HPV doesn't ever mean your life is over SO STAY POSITIVE!
Any questions?
I wanted to give back to this community for helping me when I was confused, scared and felt all alone. I haven't been on here in about 8 months, but I have returned to open this page to questions. If anybody has any questions about the treatment I'm taking, high-risk/low-risk HPV types, warts, colposcopies, pap smears, or anything else that I might be able to provide some personal experience about, I would be more than happy to chat with you. I won't, however, be able to provide information about stuff only a doctor would know. I'm only here to provide some support and share my personal experiences.
UPDATE: I just got a call from my doctor's office. My HPV test results came back negative!! I'm still waiting on my pap smear results though... But my doctor said I'm looking healthy! I'm so happy to be able to share my awesome news with all of you and I hope it makes you all feel like it isn't forever, as I have often felt.
