I have been recently diagnosed with tunberculosis. There was a lymph node found on my neck and after an ultrasound it was said that I have TB. I am extremely upset as the doctor has said I will be put on anti-TB medicine for 9 months. One of the doctors said that it just might be an infection as the culture sample they took from my neck will be checked and grown in the laboratory for 3 months after they would be sure if it is TB or some other bacteria depending on the result. Is there any other quick test that can be done to determine if it is actually TB?
Thanks,
Upset
