insurance - 2 different ones

if i have insurance thru my work and i use up all my allocation (ie x number of doc visits in a year or $XX for maternity cover, etc) can i then use my husbands insurance cover - which i am also under? so if i have $x maternity cover thru my work and $y thru his work do we simply add it up and that is the max we can spend - or are we limited to choosing only one insurance?!


any advice!?
