Hi!
Can anyone recommend a good insurance agent or insurange company that we can use in HK? We will be living in HK for two years from 14th of August. We need a comprehensive plan for maternity, general health, dental and whatever else is the equivalent of our health plan in Australia. Thanks!

We have kept our health plan going from Australia for reasons that include our HK health plan doesn't cover optical, dental, and other incidentals such as elective occupational therapy and phych tests. (HK Company elected health cover
But I undertsand BUPA is pretty well known and has a pretty good coverage.

Dimac4, which health plan in Australia does this? As we are with GMHBA which doesnt cover overseas stays. Thanks!

Defence Health - not open to the non military people. One of the small perks of the military - it is actually worth us continuing the coverage as our kids can also take up the coverage when they reach independence. It is also cheaper than the normal health plans and covers OS medical bills etc while we are living here and on holiday. and now we have left the military we can still take advantage of what they have to offer.

Check the outpatient coverage! Even top-notch comprehensive policies often have limits that, with the high cost of private consultations, medication etc. are all-too-easy to reach early on in the policy year.

Andrew, are you an insurance broker? Please get in touch with me if you are. Or is Kwiksure my only option?

Yup. I am planning to go ahead with Interglobal.

Hi HK Newbie,
Careful with Interglobal... even if they are accepting the paiements in RMB, they have some very low annual limits and no portability to your home country : what if you have a medical condition?!
