I have read most of the postings on this site on orthodontist.
Does any one have experience with Melissa Deng at UMP in Causeway Bay?
What is average cost of getting braces (my daughter's teeth are actually quite good so minimum correction is needed).
Thanks

Not sure about the average cost but I've heard of HK$30K to HK$90K - depends on the orthodontist - I'm paying HK$55K for my son's braces

Is your son getting the metal ones or the Damon braces? Who is the doctor? Are you happy with him or her? I just learned that Damon braces are the better ones and one dr. quoted me $70,000...

I need braces for myself. Could you please send me the orthodontist information as well? Where is the clinic located? Thanks

I have no experience with Melissa Dang but my daughter really likes Dr. Paul Lau from Orthodontic & Children's Dental Center in Central. I am sure they have a branch in Mong Kok too. He is a fellow from a few dental colleges so he is very reliable. My daughter did Invisalign and it worked really well. She said it was not painful nor annoying. She actually enjoyed going to see Dr Lau every month because he is a funny guy (and of course, every time she went meant closer to the end of the treatment). In general, I was satisfied with the clinic as well. It is located in Central Building on Pedder Street, a definitely convenient spot. The staff are nice too. Bookings can be done efficiently without hustle. It was never overly busy so my daughter did not have to spend more than 10 minutes in waiting before she could be seen.
Just found the website:

Cmee: Dr Lau works with adults as well so you can just call and ask.

Its always beneficial to get a second opinion and then you can make an educated decision.
